Croatia leads in annual GDP growth among EU states in SEE in Q3

In the third quarter of 2023, Croatia demonstrated robust economic performance, leading among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) with an annual growth rate of 3%, according to Eurostat.

The nation was closely trailed by Romania, which recorded a notable 2.9% increase during the same period. When examining quarterly GDP growth, Romania stood out with the highest rate in SEE, registering a 0.9% expansion.  

In the broader context of the European Union, overall GDP remained unchanged both in annual and quarterly terms during this period.

Therefore, the data highlights the dynamic economic landscape in SEE and the varying trajectories of member states in the region.
