Slovenia's second tallest residential building set for 2026 in Ljubljana

Slovak developer Corwin plans to build a 24-storey high-rise named Nordika near Ljubljana's main railway station, making it Slovenia's second tallest residential building at 82 meters.

Construction is set to begin in 2026. Designed by Norwegian studio Snohetta in collaboration with Slovenia's Protim RP, the building will feature 290 apartments with large windows, panoramic views, and rooftop terraces.

The project emphasizes sustainability, using locally sourced materials, energy-efficient systems, photovoltaic panels, and a rainwater collection system to reduce flood risk. Corwin, active in Slovenia since 2017, has completed other projects, including the Kvartet residential complex and is developing the Vilharija commercial area. Future plans also involve redeveloping nearby degraded areas.
